You know you live in the country when...
you call to find out if/when you have garbage pick up and are told the following:
"It's $12/month and you need to pre-pay either 6 or 12 months. Tape the cheque to one of the garbage bags on pick up day."
Tell THAT to a fraud specialist!

That's hilarious!! We've lived in the country many years (always) and have never taped a cheque to a garbage bag. We always had an address to send the check to -- we called first to make arrangements. But if you do tape it to the garbage bag, make sure you choose a less windy day than last weekend! love MOM
