From a medical perspective, it's pretty cool the way her body has adapted around her defective heart. From a personal perspective it's just tragic.
The Flames House in Calgary is a pediatric palliative care center. I can't rave enough about the place. It sucks to have to be there but if you find yourself in a situation like this... what a blessing!
The Boy and I did find ourselves some fun. We went to the zoo, rode the C-train, and giggled past midnight on the mattress on the floor in a kind person's basement.
Here are some photos:
Air hockey with Auntie Jen. Also, it looks like he has big hips. This is an angle I've never seen of him....
The coolest swing of all time. Even Mummy wants to snuggle in and suck her thumb in this kind of cozy!

Awesome pictures Val -- make sure you make some copies for me when you go to print them! I like that you linked your blog to FB -- that way I know when you blogged without checking needlessly all the time.
Nice! It was sooooo good to have you around for a while.
Love

Has anyone told them about "Now I lay me Down to Sleep"? Sadly I know of another family who went through something similar and they used their services. They offer a compassionate photography service for families going through different journeys. It is completely free and their website can put them in contact with a local photographer.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Awesome pictures. The Calgary Zoo is one of our favorite places of all times! Pat and I used to go even before we had kids lol. Baby is beautiful! I still enjoy reading this so please keep it up!!
