If he plants his hands on the ground beside him, he can sit. He can hold his balance for minutes at a time.
But if he turns his head to look at something (like the fish tank) or reaches for a toy...

What a cutie! I just love it when they slowly fall sideways and then clunk on the floor.
Don't let him start sitting before we get home -- then I will feel like I missed something important. Very cute pictures though. I miss him already. Here people take their kids everywhere in all seasons in their prams and strollers -- warm sheepskin liners underneath them , wool blankets covering them, they look very cozy.
